Disney Trip Before Leaving Sunny California

James and I took our niece and nephew, Alyssa and Triston, to Disney just before we hit the road for the right coast. Both of them were just 5 last year so we thought it would be a good age. Plus, we didn't want to miss the opportunity since we were heading out of California. We had a great time. The kids really surprised us. I thought we'd be going Dumbo and Peter Pan all the way, but as it turns out the kids loved the big scary rides. We started the day with Finding Nemo. The kids were in awe. Then we did the Alice in Wonder Land caterpillar ride - no comment. Then passing the Matterhorn they exclaimed that they wanted to try that ride. I tried to dissuade them, claiming that there was a scary abominable snowman, but they persisted. They met the height requirement so off we went. The ride hadn't event stopped yet when both of them, grins from ear to ear cried, "Let's go again!" And so it was, we did all the big rides. And the bigger the better.

We did all the important stuff. We got our faces painted, ate cotton candy, saw princesses, watched all the parades and walked till our legs hurt.
